The Board of Directors of Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association have called an Annual General Meeting of the membership to be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.
You are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting as a guest of the Board. The current By-laws of the Corporation indicate only Members will be eligible to cast a vote at the Annual General Meeting.

NACCA is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join the Board of Directors and assist in achieving our strategic objectives. Ideal candidates should:

Sector experience: Board governance, Legal, Social Work, IT/technology sector and Finance.
ABOUT NACCA
The Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA) is a recognized organization that provides culturally appropriate mental health education, counselling support, financial literacy training, annual scholarships, and community-centred programs for Black youth and families. Our aim is to create spaces that enable them to achieve their utmost potential, guided by the principles of the Nguzo Saba.

- Have prior experience on an executive or not-for-profit board
- Be strategic thinkers aligned with NACCA’s vision
- Exhibit leadership skills
- Thrive in a collaborative setting
- Feel comfortable with decision-making and delegation
- Be proficient in electronic communication and social media
- Possess disciplined and creative problem-solving abilities
- Bring lived experiences and deep knowledge of intersecting Black experiences
- Commit at least 10 hours per month to Board-related responsibilities.
