Black Mental Health Community Conversations Return this June
NACCA and ASCO, alongside community partners across York Region (MACCA, YRAACC, ANCHOR, 360 Kids and York Hills), invites Black community members to attend a two-part community gathering centred around the Black Mental Health Community Insights report developed through conversations held across the Region last year.
These gatherings are an opportunity to reflect on key insights from the report, hear from mental health professionals and community voices, engage in meaningful dialogue and help shape what comes next for Black mental health and wellness support within our communities.

Join the conversation on Black mental health and addictions in York Region

NACCA and Addiction Services Central Ontario (ASCO) are coming together to shape a regional strategy for Black mental health and addictions support in York Region and we need your voice at the table.
From August to October, we will be hosting community conversations with Black youth, adults, caregivers, health professionals and those with lived experience. Your insights will directly influence how future programs are designed, delivered and resourced. |
To ensure broad participation, eligible participants may attend only one session and will receive a $75.00 honorarium (thank-you gift card) in appreciation of their time and contributions. Multiple registrations are not permitted.
To receive the $75.00 thank-you gift card and participate in the community conversation on Black mental health and addictions, individuals must meet the following criteria:
