​Community Invitation: Black Wellness Project Celebration

​We are excited to invite you to the Black Wellness Project Celebration, hosted by NACCA and ASCO! Join us as we honour the work completed so far, share important insights and look ahead to the next phase of the project.

This gathering will feature:
  •  Key themes and findings presented by Logical Outcomes
  •  “What’s Next” presentations from NACCA and ASCO
  •  Catered food and community connection
  •  A family-friendly space, children are welcome
 Date: Sunday December 7, 2025.
 Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
 Location: 200 Doug Duncan Drive, Newmarket (Lions Hall #2)

Join the conversation on Black mental health and addictions in York Region

NACCA and Addiction Services Central Ontario (ASCO) are coming together to shape a regional strategy for Black mental health and addictions support in York Region and we need your voice at the table. 

From August to October, we will be hosting community conversations with Black youth, adults, caregivers, health professionals and those with lived experience. Your insights will directly influence how future programs are designed, delivered and resourced.​

To ensure broad participation, eligible participants may attend only one session and will receive a $75.00 honorarium (thank-you gift card) in appreciation of their time and contributions. Multiple registrations are not permitted.
​
To receive the $75.00 thank-you gift card and participate in the community conversation on Black mental health and addictions, individuals must meet the following criteria:
  • Identify as Black / African descent
  • Live in York Region
  • Be 16 years of age or older
  • Attend and participate in the full community conversation
