Thank you for your interest in becoming a Board Member. Please be advised that interested applicants must be able to commit 5-10 hours per month and at least a minimum of two years term of service. The Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA) Board of Directors is a group of committed, enthusiastic members who ensure NACCA meets its strategic objectives.

- have 10 hours per month to commit to the Board-related activities

Current Board Positions Open
Treasurer
Is a member of the Board and manages finances of the organization. Administrates fiscal matters of the organization and provides annual budget to the board for members' approval. The Treasurer ensures development and board review of financial policies and procedures. Youth Officer x 2 A member of the Board ages 15 - 30 years who acts both as a representative and an ambassador to youth in the greater community. This role is to provide youth with a platform to ensure our programs and policies take into account youth voices. |
Public Relations Officer, Social Media & Marketing
A member of the Board who will assist with marketing and promotions through all social media platforms. In addition will update our website and establish a marketing strategy. Volunteer Management A member of the Board who will manage both the recruitment and management of volunteers for upcoming events, workshops and programming. |
Program Development
A member of the Board who will assist the Chair in developing programming, and workshops that align with our mandate and that enhance education in the greater community. Membership Management A member of the Board who will oversee annual membership renewal and applications, and recruit new members to join the organization on an ongoing basis. |
