NACCA is a registered charity providing strong leadership for our diverse resident Black community, especially Black youth. We serve the Newmarket and surrounding areas.

Black Mental Health Youth Justice Clinician

The Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA) is seeking a dedicated Black Mental Health Youth Justice Clinician to join our growing mental health team. This role supports Black children, youth and families across York Region through culturally responsive, healing-centered mental health care.

Working in collaboration with NACCA and York Hills, the clinician will provide individual, family and group counselling while also supporting youth justice mentorship and restorative pathways for Black youth navigating systemic barriers. The position combines clinical practice, advocacy and community engagement to promote healing, empowerment and long-term wellbeing.

Rooted in Africentric values and community wisdom, NACCA’s mental health services address trauma, anxiety, grief, systemic barriers and racial trauma through culturally grounded therapeutic approaches. The successful candidate will play an important role in expanding access to culturally safe mental health care for Black communities in York Region.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Camp Leader to guide the delivery of NACCA’s Kuumba Summer Camp. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing staff, coordinating daily programming, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and culturally grounded experience for all campers.

This is an opportunity to lead with purpose, support youth development, and contribute to a vibrant, community-driven camp environment rooted in culture, creativity, and care.
