NEWMARKET AFRICAN CARIBBEAN CANADIAN ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES SURVEY TO HELP BUILD COMMUNITY
NEWMARKET May 18, 2022
The Newmarket African Caribbean Canadian Association (NACCA) has announced the launch of a survey that will help them in the development of a new strategic plan for the organization. The survey will gather key information and insights from Newmarket and surrounding communities to help guide NACCA’s strategic direction over the next five years.
The survey is an integral component of a larger strategic planning process that the organization is undergoing as it continues to grow and expand to serve more communities in Newmarket. Following a period of extreme growth since its inception in 2018, NACCA’s Board of Directors recognized a need to think critically about how the organization could move forward. NACCA selected CQ Business Consulting Inc. (CQBC) to lead and develop their new five-year strategic plan following an open call for proposals. Along with the survey, CQBC will also be holding focus groups with key leaders in the region to gather further insights and develop a strong and integrated strategic plan for the organization.
“We want to be strategic and purposeful in our approach to community building and an important way to do that is through direct community consultation,” says Jerisha Grant-Hall, Chairperson of the Board, “We know that the inequities facing our community are deep and wide but we don’t want to assume anything; we want to hear from the community then look at our objectives and build a plan that makes sense and meets future need.”
The survey link will be available on the NACCA website and on all NACCA social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). Eligible participants can complete the survey for a chance to win prizes such as gift cards to Indigo and local businesses. The survey will close on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 12:00am.
